“After my last cancer infusion in May 2023, I found myself needing a trim. With new medication causing frequent hot flashes, my hair had grown too long, and I needed someone skilled in short haircuts. I spent a lot of time searching and calling various salons, but the responses were disappointing. Some places didn’t return calls, and others didn’t seem to understand my needs.

Then, I found The Hair Boutique. I was lucky enough to get an appointment with Sandy, and what a relief that was! Sandy’s salon was incredibly inviting and comfortable, which immediately put me at ease. Although she had a 6pm appointment that canceled, she made sure to fit me in after learning about my situation as a cancer survivor.

Sandy was not only professional but also kind and empathetic. She listened carefully to what I needed and did an exceptional job on my hair. Finding a hairdresser who is both skilled and caring can be challenging, especially after going through cancer treatment, but Sandy proved to be exactly that.

“I don't know if it's fair for me to post a review because I, myself have not been served there (my hair is as short as my memory). However, I take my son there to maintain his dreadlocks and he has nothing but good to say about this place. He calls in for appointments and is always seated immediately upon his designated time. She gets him in and out in great time, while managing to do an expert job. Tightening/twisting dreads is not an easy task, so when I see him after each visit, it looks superb (smells nice too - I wonder what she puts in his head - although anything smells better than 'him'). He told me this is is place of choice and has no desire to see anyone else. Especially since their service includes a quarter pound of kindness, which is always nice. And since he's not on Yelp, I figured I'd sing their praises on his behalf.“

It was our little ones first time having his haircut. He dislikes being strapped down on a chair, hence he was not very happy. He was scream crying and wriggling the whole time. But Bridgette was very patient and she worked very fast and efficient. It took her maybe five minutes to get the job done. She even comforted me and my husband because we were stressed through the whole ordeal.

I highly recommend Bridgette!!! Thank you for being patient with us. I don’t know how you do what you do, but keep it up!
