“Well it was the coldest day of the year and we woke up to the house feeling really chilly. Thermostat was dead and my husband replaced it with a spare—didn’t help. It became obvious that this was an electrical issue and not a job for YouTube. Started to hear the sounds a dollar signs. We’ve heard horror stories about HVAC contractors selling people on a new furnace even though the real fix was simple. To top off it off, it was a Sunday and we assumed we’d pay a premium for emergency service.
What a blessing it was to stumble across Mike Nolan’s information! He responded right away and was working on the furnace within a couple hours. He quickly diagnosed the issue as a short from our built-in humidifier and assured us that he had all the parts for that model if some needed to be replaced. Heading into the situation, we were worried that this could be a very expensive repair. After Mike’s diagnosis we would have still be happy with a few hundred dollars. We couldn’t have been happier with the final bill! It was a fraction of what we expected (even cheaper than a new thermostat) and Mike couldn’t have been nicer or more responsive!
