“Dr. Ashley Staycheff is a ROCKSTAR! I met her for a second opinion as a recommendation from a friend's wonderful experience with Cuyahoga Valley Veterinary Clinic. My 5-year-old Bichon tumbled down an entire flight of steps and began limping. I had been going to Bartels in Brecksville for 5-6 years. Bartels treated her with meds for the first week to see if it helped and healed. It did not, so the next step was an X-ray. Sounds logical. They told me there were no broken bones or dislocations, but showed some arthritis forming and atrophy in her leg. They gave her a cortisone injection and a shot of Labrella to aim at direct nerve pain and said to see if that helped. It got worse, and my dog was not using her leg at all. Bartels called me to confirm my appointment for her next month's Labrella shot. I asked what this was for and the front office person said they thought for her arthritis. I informed them this was an injury and asked to have the Dr. call me back to determine what we were solving for. No phone call back from the Dr. but a message from the front office stating "The Dr. encourages to do at least one more injection of the Labrella. Typically when patients are first starting they recommend doing this for three months in a row to see if it's helping and then after 3 months the Dr. can suggest other options." They also recommended acupuncture. When I called Cuyahoga Valley, Dr. Ashley proactively contacted Bartels for the X-Rays and notes, reviewed medications and when I came to Cuyahoga Valley she pulled up the X-rays to show me that the knee joint was being pushed forward and the femur and tibia were off-centered which told her that the two bones were sliding back and forth unsupported. She did testing to determine that there was also significant nerve damage. My dog was in pain, in need of surgery, and the meds Bartels put me on that I thought one was for pain, was a muscle relaxer not serving a purpose. She discussed our options with us on surgery, quickly got her scheduled, and my dog is now out of pain and thriving. Whether it's a family member, children, or pets you want to trust your medical provider with their advice. Dr. Ashley was extremely competent, confident, and knowledgeable. I trust her with my dog's life, and will be taking all of my animals to her going forward. i can't say enough about this practice and Dr. Ashley.“

“Every July, this veterinary practice holds a Pet Carnival. It is one of the highlights of my year. They have so much to see and do but to be honest, just watching the pets interact is my favorite part. I have gone to this even for the last 10 or so years and each year it just gets bigger and bigger and better and better. From all the volunteers to the vendors, this is a highly recommended event to attend. Bring your well-behaved pet and enjoy the afternoon. Or go with just the humans and learn about all the different breeds of dogs and other animals that attend. This year they even had calves in attendance! GREAT JOB NORTH ROYALTON ANIMAL HOSPITAL! “Came in to get my Cat UTD on shots and get scheduled for a spay, the Vet and assistants were very nice with me, very communitive, and patient with my pet even tho she was a bit “spicy” during the last shot. lol as for the first visit it went well and I will be returning. ?“
