About Highland Springs
Highland Springs Behavioral Health Hospital offers inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programming. Reviews describe the experience as possibly the most life changing thing that has ever happened. The structured routine and order is something special, and the people met there change perspective on life and become friends. The inpatient program made patients feel welcome, safe, and supported. All staff are described as kind, amazing, and focused on patient needs. Specific staff members like nurses Mika, Jackie, Will, Nyiah, Lance, and PCA Will are noted for being always kind and caring. Nurse practitioner Bre ensured stability and safe step-down. Dean and Savannah work hard to encourage and support patients. The IOP met and even exceeded expectations, with a general instruction approach pulling from a variety of therapy styles. The counselor Zoe was immensely competent, empathetic, smart, and funny. The nursing staff strive to maintain quality of care through a transition to corporate run. As a trans man, one reviewer never felt safer. The other patients treat each other like family. Discharge dates can be sketchy, but the experience changed lives and gave a new path. Flexible options include a women's IOP and virtual groups. It is the best place for urgent mental health care in the Greater Cleveland area.
4 stars because it's unfortunately the best mental health facility in the State from my experience. They serve patients expired sandwiches, and the cafeteria while not bad, the food is almost better than the local jail. The care team threatens to hold you longer or send you to court if you don't take medication. The only plus is patients have access to 2 tv's and access to movies so it's not as bad as places like Laurelwood (which is haunted) and Generations (They physically beat patients)
My stay here was possibly the most life changing thing that has ever happened to me. The people you meet here will change your perspective on life and the people I met I will consider my friends for hopefully life. Being able to be around people in the same situation as you in abplace with a structured routine and order is something special. The nurses here are amazing, especially Mika, Jackie, Will, Nyiah, and Lance. With that being said, the discharge dates are sketchy as I was a complete voluntary walk in yet had a stay of 10 days. It was a little scary but yet again it changed my life and gave me a new path to walk on as a person. Shoutput to all the amazing people...read full review
I am so grateful for highland springs. Great experience with inpatient program. It was my first inpatient experience and was terrified but they made me feel so welcome, safe, and supported. All the staff were so kind. I would go back in the future if needed
