Columbus City Schools Spruce Run Nature Center

This is a facility for Columbus Public Schools. It is not a park that is open for the public to just walk in (some guy tried while my class was there, and they had to explain it to him).
It is a great place to take a class to learn about nature and get out of the classroom. They have a nature play area with a sand box area, a nature walk, and a part where the kids can borrow boots and wade into the creek looking for fish, crayfish, and tadpoles. They were well staffed with employees and CTE students from the local high school.

The people that work/volunteer here are really wonderful and doing everything they can to provide an opportunity for kids to explore nature and learn about the world. Thank you Heather for all of your hard work. The open houses are a wonderful time to explore and do some kind of activity as well.
