“We had Benedict roofing replace our roof last May. We had three or four roofers come out for bids. I know enough about roofing to know ours needed replaced eventually. The shingles were 17-year-old construction grade shingles and were worn pretty bad. Eric was the only roofer that told me I could probably let them go for another year or two, which I agreed with. He was also the only one who gave me a bid for 1 year at a very good price.I decided to have the roof done last May. He and his crew of five completed the job in one day. Not only did they do a great job, but other than the noise of hammers and nails the entire crew was very polite no loud music, no yelling at each other just there to get the work done. Yes, I said, hammer and nails, they don’t use nail guns and compressors. They even did a few little extra things like paint the existing roof vent stacks and added roof ventilation on one section that wasn’t ventilated to make for a more complete job.Overall, I would highly recommend Benedict roofing“

We had a small disagreement at one point, but they stood by their word 100%.The color was a perfect match, the seams perfectly straight. The historic character of a 151 year-old building maintained. The only reason I might have given four starts instead of 5 was the price. While the project went perfectly, I thought the price was on the high side. HOWEVER, we got what we paid for, so even though I thought the price a little high, I thought the value was very good...thus five stars.“

“I recently hired R.A. Kalfas to complete a major home remodel at my residence following a significant weather related event this past summer. Overall, I had an extremely positive experience with this company. Chris took the time to hold several meetings with us prior to the start of the project to review the scope of the contract and all available options. The workers utilized by R. A. Kalfas were knowledgeable in construction, friendly, clean and more importantly, demonstrated effective workmanship. Chris and/or the owner came by daily to monitor and supervise. With a project of this size, there’s always going to be a few hiccups here and there (for example, we found that I had a major bee problem developing near my chimney). The Kalfus team was quickly to recommend solutions so work could proceed. We had no issue with the city inspection and the city inspectors were actually complimentary as to Kalfas’ work and their solid reputation in the community. I would highly recommend this company for residential construction projects and will likely call them again in the future.“

The company did not steal his tools he left them with us and wanted them back months later. We gave the employee 2 weeks to come get his tools or they would be thrown away. He never showed.“
