I am not a patient at this practice, however, my parents are patients with the Eye Center. In the last year and a half, I have attended appointments with my mother for a second set of ears as to what the drs she has seen would recommend for her vision problems, in addition to her well exams. In 2022, my mom had cataract surgery as well as laser surgery on one eye to correct floaters. During her most recent well exam in the spring of 2022, she needed a prescription update due to her surgeries and changes to her vision (prescription). My mom and I sat down with Jerry. I went to Fairview Eye Center, Dr. Kosmidis, to have laser surgery on a secondary cataract on my left eye. I now need to have the same surgery on my right eye. Fairview Eye Center is not covered under my new insurance. I called and asked for my records. I was told if I completed a request form I would then be given my records. THAT WAS A TOTAL LIE. The only way this office will give a patient their records is if the patient is charged for the documents. In my case $40. The records are mine but I am unable to retrieve then unless they steal $40 from me. I refuse to do so. I am very disappointed in how I have been treated relating to this issue.
