Want to share my grandson's success story . . Bradley has amblyopia and had a lot of trouble reading we thought due to his dyslexia diagnosis. We found Dr. Beth Munzel, OD, FCOVD when Bradley was 11. His visual diagnosis was Convergence Insufficiency, Saccadic Deficiencies and Visual Motor Delay (processing delays, lateral and directionality delays.) Basically his eyes were not working together to be able to stay on the word he was reading. He'd have to keep looking at the word several times to see and understand what it was. After 24 sessions Bradley graduated and even after 2 years is doing great. Grades were all A's with one B as of yesterday. His self confidence and self esteem have come a long way. So happy we found Dr. Beth!

My son was diagnosed with refractive amblyopia and was diagnosed being legally blind in one eye with only 20/200 vision in his right eye. She was my third doctor to visit to find hope for my son to gain some of his eyesight back. He started seeing her six months ago and changed his prescription and we started the vision therapy as soon as school let out. Currently, he is now able to see two letters on the 50 line where he couldn't before. The vision therapy is working and hearing the joy from my son over the past few weeks telling me things he can see out of his bad eye that he couldn't previously has brought tears to my eyes. I am so thankful we found Dr Beth Munzel. She has been great with my son and he looks forward to his therapy visits.
