One star is far too many for this doctor.During our appointment he assured me that my symptoms did not exist explicitly because I am pretty and married. I literally collapsed on the floor in front of him (I was being seen due to the collapsing!) And he said that was not happening to me.After the visit, he caught me in the hall to say "wait - let me see your smile before you go."Also please note that Riverhills will NOT let you change physicians once you've seen one so you won't even be able to transfer to one of the (rumored to be) legitimate practitioners in the office. They put up with this guy though, so I have my doubts about them.

If I could I would rate this doctor a zero. My sister was diagnosed with MS at age 22. She is now 43. To be honest I feel that this doctor did not provide her with the proper care in her early stages. Now she has a hard time getting around, uses a walker at all times. It really has taken a toll on her and is getting worse quickly. Dr. Schermler, never cared enough to know who she was even though she was seen quite often. He should have been aware and every time he came in the room he acted as though she was a new patient he had never seen. I was not going to leave a review for this “doctor” because I felt a lot of people in other reviews had expressed my feelings, however, after meeting with an experienced physician at the Cleveland clinic who reviewed the documentation provided from my visits with Dr. Schmerler I could not sit idly by and not warn others of the negligence of this physician.I saw Dr. Schmerler in April after having an injection in March that caused me to have paralysis and severe pain. I am only 26 and have become wheelchair bound.
