    I've been a client here for years and referred many people, but my last appointment left me in tears.

    After months of being unable to leave the house much, this was the first place I chose to go to. I was recovering from being sick, which causes hives to flare when I'm overwhelmed. I brought noise canceling headphones and told my technician upfront that I wanted to stay quiet during the service. Instead, through the majority of the service she repeatedly questioned me about the hives and offered solutions, even after I explained several times that they weren't contagious and I just needed quiet. She was loud about it. I cried during the appointment and again in my car afterward - the tears didn't stop the questions.

    It took me several months to say anything, because I was so embarrassed. I reached out directly instead of posting a review first, hoping a private conversation would go better. The salon called to apologize and offered a free upgrade (valued at $5-$10 by the manager) on a future visit, along with adding notes to my file. She also told me that when I'm ready, I could go back to that same technician if I wanted, and to be sure to check out their second location in Madeira.

    That still means paying $50+ out of pocket to find out if it's actually different this time - possibly with the same technician. Comping a new visit or refunding what I paid would have actually reflected what happened. A discount that requires more of my money upfront isn't repair, it's a bet I'm being asked to place on them after being humiliated and leaving worse off than when I came.

    I paid $70 for an appointment that ended with me crying in my car. That's not a small thing and I'm really disappointed this was handled in this manner.

    My Artist accepted the challenge and she delivered it with perfection. I recommend Jennifer so much and this Nail Salon overall. They prefer Cash

    Everyone was nice got us in fast. Didn't clean my toenails good, asked twice lady to clean out the side of my toe nails and she argued and said no. Also didn't get all the skin off the back of my heels. And I showed her a picture of what I wanted my toenails to look like and she okay and proceeded to not do it. You can't tip with a credit card so bring cash if you don't want to use the ATM or don't have venmo. But it's pretty in there.

    My second to last experience at this salon was not good. The tech doing my nails didn’t listen to what I wanted and gave me very long gelx nails, filed my nails down so low that I had rings of fire, and she was on her phone for a good portion of the appointment so I had to stay a lot longer than what was necessary- I saw a sign that you are charged by time so that upset me but I tried to be understanding in case she had something personal going on. One of the nails came off a day after, so I had to come back to the salon to get it fixed. When it was “fixed” the nail design looked completely different than the others in design shape and length. I also had to have my nails taken off because I developed greenie which means water was able to enter underneath the nail. For the expensive price the nails weren’t well done and my natural nails were basically destroyed to the point that other salons refuse to do my nails until they grow out.

    I hate to write bad reviews and truly love going to the Maderia location, but I was very disappointed with my experience. It felt like the barley did anything during my pedicure, rushed through it and just feel like they put polish on my toes.

    Jennifer was so sweet and detail oriented! She worked with me on what set I wanted and used some creative freedom too!!!! This place is so great and I will definitely be back to see Jennifer again🥰

    Spent $75 on builder gel and an OPi gel color on top….such a SCAM!! It started off so bright and shiny, but after a few days the pink was fading and a yellow shine came thru. I was in Chicago and not able to return to the salon but I did check at a local salon there and was told it happens due to “old polish”. I called the salon to inform and they apologized and that was that!! Poor customer service, poor quality products, poor communication and zero accountability. The price is definitely not reflective of the quality.
