My work changed their insurance provider this year. I've been a Lens Crafters customer. It's all I know. I've been happy with the service but I know there's something better. I passed Eyecare on the Square plenty of times and was curious. Plus it's close to home which makes it convenient. I called and asked if they were accepting patients and my insurance. Thankfully they did. I needed an eye exam and new glasses. I made an appointment in the afternoon on a Friday. The staff were super friendly and helpful. My optometrist was Dr. Jonathan Burt. Dr. Rose and Dr. Cartwright are great, but I've become increasingly frustrated with their office's inability to answer the phone and return calls. I have called multiple times regarding a contact lens fitting that I had earlier this week so that I can place an order, and no one has returned my call. Whenever they miss your call, your phone receives an automatic "text message," but it seems to be impossible to get anyone on the phone, and it was difficult to even make an appointment in the first place. I usually dread a trip to the doctor, but going to Eyecare on the Square was quick, painless, and (dare I say it?) fun! Everyone in the office was so friendly and polite, and I was in and out of my appointment in 30 minutes. Dr. Rose was knowledgeable and personable and she answered every question I had. I am currently based in Michigan, but I plan on coming back to Cincinnati for my annual check up at Eyecare on the Square for as long as I can! It is worth it!
