I came here back in December after hurting my knee while running, I saw Dr. Islam. I liked him at first, but after I went back to go over my MRI, I didn't even get to talk to the doctor. They barely even showed me the MRI results, told me nothing was wrong, and told me to do PT. I requested my MRI on December 23rd and they told me I would get it in a couple of weeks to a month. I went back to the office in January after never receiving my MRI, they told me to call the medical records office. After talking with the medical records office, I was told I needed to fill out paperwork to request my MRI. It's been 3 months and I still never got my MRI. I would recommend going anywhere else but here

Your self pay rates are ridiculous. You know very well a five minute appt with no imaging would not have paid over $200 with insurance!

It is sufficed to say that if youβre needing joint replacement, then please use Mercy hospital. Beacon consistently turns down patients who are in desperate need of surgery and to the point where doing nothing is basically torture.

The people they have answering the phones have horrible attitudes. Would not recommend. Feel sorry for anyone who has to call there.

A doctor (Goldfarb) accused me of telling pre-admission services st Bethesda North that I was going to report him. His surgical asst. told me this today, two weeks from a scheduled hip replacement. I never said this to anyone at B North, but he refused to do the surgery. I contacted B North who said they rarely talk directly to Beacon because they are third party. Someone is lying and I was in the middle of some BS, and I am the patient!! Things just got weirder by the hour. The surgical asst. couldn't provide details including who called and exact quotes. I was already having communication issues with Beacon providing info but unclear how this a report to who knows where. They even canceled my pre-admission service before calling me. Unprofessional! I have concluded that this is something else. It seems interesting that I sent an email to ask what prosthesis would be used because another surgeon who did my right side used titanium. I guess Dr. Goldfarb isn't used to informed patients who advocate for themselves. I would think doctors would welcome patients who have questions. I tried to overlook his less than social demeanor and his "shade" on my former surgeon (said he does his revisions). Since he won't do my surgery and how unprofessional this was handled, I may as well tell it all. Then a friend referred another surgeon, so I set the appointment. Well Beacon had more surprises. I guess the Google review on Goldfarb got to the rest of the crew, so they removed me from the practice. I have never been banned from an entire practice. I must have irritated someone. Beacon is so big and impersonal that they can communicate horribly, not be professional enough to provide me with details of this lie they told on me. Clearly this is a sign not to entrust Beacon with my care. It's unfortunate because I was trying to get my surgery down but thankfully there are other surgeons who can handle it. I just want my records and expect them intact with their weirdness not included. I don't recommend Beacon at all. Who dumps a patient two weeks from surgery who is in tremendous pain and has scheduled her entire life around this? Beacon does, but I wouldn't have trusted them anyway after the mishandling of this. Adults have conversations, not concoct a lie that I was going to report him. It's bizarre. It's best someone who moves like this not do my surgery, so banning me from an Unprofessional, sterile environment with negative energy has saved me issues down the road. I will start this process again with practices that don't ban patients with a BS story. it's actually pathetic--comical but sad. Just provide my records, and we are good. I should have followed my instincts months ago and changed doctors/practices. And guess what? Not one manager or administrator had the guts to call me. Instead, they banished me. LOL. Passive-aggressiveness from a practice of medical professionals. Disturbing.

The physical therapists at this location are top notch! I had a serious knee injury that required months of PT. I am picky, so if they hadn't been smart, kind, and talented then I couldn't have made myself go twice a week for three months. They are hands on and extremely effective. I owe my mobility to them and recommend them to everyone I know. - Dori
