We have bought custom mill work from Art Woodworking a few times now and have been very pleased with the quality and value that they consistently deliver. We worked with John Unger and he and the shop craftsmen were able to perfectly duplicate the cherry casing and baseboard samples that we brought in during different phases of our renovation project. Our orders have always been completed on time and the pieces have always been defect free. This is true old-world craftsmanship and excellent customer service that has become very rare these days. We highly recommend Art Woodworking!
I had Art’s mill all new moldings for my 1894 project in Mount Auburn. Although they have many knives for all lots of different profiles they’ve reproduced, they had to cut new knives for my woodwork as they didn’t have that profile. I had stock for baseboards, window/door trim, shoe mold, pocket door stops, plinth blocks, parting beads, window muntins...it all turned out beautifully.
