Herston’s Barbershop is Akron’s new favorite barber shop. The business has changed from Herston Cleaners to Herston’s Barbershop, with a fully renovated interior that has created a space to relax and enjoy routine hair care. The shop is new, pleasant, and always very clean, with a great atmosphere and great vibes. The barbers are friendly, professional, and personable. Services include beard trims, lineups, fades, neck shaves, hot towels, straight razor shaves, and haircuts. One customer felt like a million dollars after asking for a million dollar cut, loving the outcome and grateful for the expertise. Another customer, growing out a beard for the first time, was nervous but found the barber knew their stuff and was super pleased with how the beard looked. A 66-year-old customer called it the best barbershop ever, feeling like the king of Persia after a haircut, shave, and eyebrows. The barbers do a great job with grooming needs, the customer service is top tier, and the price is right. Herston’s Barbershop is officially open to serve the Coventry Township area.
Being new to the area, finding a decent barbershop can be intimidating but we were incredibly fortunate to find this gem in the middle of a small local town. The shop was clean and well maintained. Everyone was super friendly but most importantly the barber we had cut our son’s hair perfectly. Floyd was very detailed and precise. Our son walked out confident and happy with his new haircut. We will be returning, over and over again.
I’ve been going to Herston’s now for a few months. Let me say, theres been a few times I confused my appointment and Audrey ( the owner) has always found a way to get me in the chair. Audrey’s hair cut and beard trim skills have been the best I’ve seen to date. She remembers my preferences and asks very relevant questions. While sitting in the chair I’ve seen multiple people come in for unscheduled walk- ins and Audrey has always done her best to try and fit them in with her staff. Audrey gave me the best haircut I've had in years. I travel for work, so finding a reliable barber every few months is a real challenge, especially with thinning hair and some tricky spots.
I came in after having to wait three months for my hair to grow back in after The Vault botched my hair so badly that I had to use fake hair.
Audrey understood why that made me extra specific, and she took the time to listen and worked carefully toward exactly what I asked for, checking in as we went.
