I didn't have cash and didn't know it was cash only. The gentlemen cutting my hair I didn't catch his name but was older and had glasses offered me me to not owe him anything for the cut.
I of course didn't feel comfortable with that so I left to get the cash + tip for him, but that gesture alone landed them a repeat customer :)

I’ve been going to Eastway off and on for more than 20 years. It’s a traditional old-school barber shop. They’re busy and really could use more barbers, but those are hard to find so the third generation owner has to bear the load. Highly recommended, but plan on a little wait.

My grandfather went to Eastway Barbershop when it was still located in Eastway Plaza. Needless to say the tradition carried on and I grew up going to the shop when the old crew was still there. As the years went by some of the old faces were there and some weren’t. John was my go to barber and when I found out his son in law took over I had to make it a point to still go there. Now that I have a son of my own I was always looking forward to the day I could bring him by for a proper haircut.
