I started taking training 3 weeks ago. Even though I had no prior experience before, I was able to adapt to the environment quickly. All the instructors, especially Brian Beaury, are very successful in their jobs and very helpful. Other people taking training are also very friendly, meaning the lessons are very fun and at the same time challenging. It is a great place to improve.

This place is perfect for someone that wants to start their kid in an activity. We enrolled our son hoping he would open up to socialize, Even though he ultimately wasn’t ready to continue and had a hard time adjusting often crying and leaving the mat every coach handled the situation with so much understanding and compassion. Not once did we feel judged or pressured. Instead, you met him where he was, spoke to him calmly, and truly tried to help him feel comfortable.

I spent the summer of 2025 in the Troy, NY area and in searching for a school to train and practice Jiu Jitsu, I found this place… super glad I did. I trialed it for a day and knew right away it was a great place and a fit for me. At the time, I was transitioning to a blue belt as a 55 year old hobbyist. All kinds of folks, lots of class options (Muay Thai, wrestling, boxing, gi/no-gi, morning, etc.) and the owner/Brian and community was super welcoming. The classes were well run with great instructors. No egos, very respectful students, and everyone is there to improve their Jiu Jitsu.
