“I got my first tattoo with Jessica at Cordero Collective at the beginning of July. I'm so happy with how it turned out and had the absolute best experience!

From start to finish the whole process was easy, professional, and informative. Jessica was extremely up front about placement and healing ahead of time which made sure I was truly making an informed decision going forward. I'm right around 5 weeks healed and the part of the tattoo on the back of my hand did fade and is a bit patchy, but Jessica thoroughly warned me about this, and I still think it looks beautiful.

I was a little intimidated to walk into a tattoo shop for the first time, but upon arrival, the shop was easy to find, parking was ample, and Jessica greeted me and my boyfriend as soon as we walked in the door. Even though I was a couple minutes early there was still no waiting and we jumped straight into it, which I appreciate because it didn't give me time to sit there and be anxious. The vibe was chill and the decorations were super cute and made me feel at home. They are woman owned and LGBTQ+ friendly.

The design she made based on my reference photos and description was perfect. Jessica showed me the design, walked through the process, and had me fill out some paperwork. Before she started, Jessica showed me all the sensations I would feel and started with one small line so that I could get used to the sensation. The session lasted a little less than an hour and overall the tattooing was extremely tolerable. There is only once or twice where I was a little painful but overall just an annoying stinging sensation. Jessica remained a calming presence throughout the process and she was there to answer any questions we had and popped in when there was a lull in our conversation. Her wife was the only other person in the shop and a brief interaction with her was very sweet!

Overall, my first tattoo experience was great, and I still love the tattoo over a month later. I would recommend this shop to anybody and plan on going back in the future for a touch up and probably another tattoo!“

“Like many, I’m not one to leave many reviews, but I feel as though this one is warranted and apologize for those reading if this is long winded. Jon Davis, is hands down the most talented artist that I have come across having recently moved to the area and having tattoos, for multiple people across the country. Jon is single-handedly the best at what he does. From day one stopping in and talking to him about ideas, to first session in starting a arm sleeve for me, Jon and the staff at Vessel, made it clear without even knowing they are the best at what they do.

This next part is the more sappy side but, again with the experience I received I believe this is important to put out there. In early April, I had a close friend tragically lose his life in the line of duty. Unannounced to me at the time another friend/co-worker stopped in to see Jon. And without putting him on the spot, I’ll leave it at Jon taking care of him. When that friend of mine reached out and showed me/told me what Jon had done, it left me speechless and moved. His compassion for what he did/does goes far beyond his passion of just tattooing. It shows through that initial meeting and through his art and what he produces. Fast forward to my piece, Jon was able to flawlessly add my friend into my arm sleeve that left those who I’ve encountered who aren’t even “tattoo folks” speechless.

Nonetheless, Jon and his crew at vessel are truly the best at what they do. Everyone there is inviting and informative. Regardless of who is tattooing at the time, each and everyone of his staff makes an effort at understand and asking questions throughout the process.
