When my mother recently died we had no funeral plans, and only the faintest remembrance of a name: Birnbaum. I called, and an actual human being picked up the phone. This was the beginning of our extraordinary journey with Joel Friedman, Funeral Director. Within two days we had plots, gravestone, service, cantor, shiva, pallbearers and obituary all in plan. Joel was sensitive and knowledgeable, guiding us expertly through each decision. The day of the funeral he was compassionate and extremely helpful. Highly recommend.

Joel couldn't have been nicer, more sympathetic, or professional. He anticipated our needs and wants, arranged everything and made a difficult time as smooth as it could possibly be. He is everything a funeral director should be and more. I highly recommend him and Birnbaum Funeral Services. They handled my father's funeral 33 years ago and were wonderful then too which is why we returned for my mother's. Can't praise highly enough.
