    I went here today to look for a pair of glasses and when they asked me what insurance I had, I said United healthcare now I didn’t have the copy of my United healthcare card on me, which was fine. They looked it up by my social, but as she’s doing the prices, it came out to over $300 and I’m thinking in my head why because I remembered that my insurance covered basically everything including my progressive lenses so she tells me they didn’t cover the progressive lenses at 100% I was only getting a 30% discount on it so when I got home, I checked my insurance and my insurance in fact did cover my progressive lenses so now I’ll be going elsewhere.

    Used to be their customer. I had broken frames that I purchased from this location, and I simply asked to move the lenses into new frames so I could have glasses. The woman at the desk repeated that the frames were broken twice. I informed her that I was well aware I was holding broke. Frames, I just wanted to move the lenses into new frames, which I was ready to purchase the same exact frame, and then I was told because my prescription was not up to date, they could not do that. Will never return here.

    America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses at Hyland Plaza in Staten Island provided exceptional service! The store manager Janet Rivera went above and beyond to help me get my broken glasses replaced quickly and hassle-free. Alfia was equally helpful, accommodating, and professional throughout the entire process. Both made the experience smooth and pleasant. Highly recommend this location for outstanding customer service and care!

    I had my pre eye exam and glasses fitting with an associate name Katy . SHE WAS SOOOOO KIND ,NICE AND VERY HELPFUL . I haven't worn glasses in in 8 years and she helped me find a good frame that suited me . KATY DESERVES A RAISE !! SUCH A NICE PERSON ! When you meet kind people like her , they make a difference in the world we live in .

    They charged me for my glasses correctly, I noticed they charged me twice on my charge card. I went back in and showed them their error, they said they didn’t do it.. instead of just apologizing after I showed them. They were still adamant. I had to put a claim in .. the following Monday they called and I was told they were reversing one of the charges. Still no apology or accountability.. I will not be going back!

    .I was treated in a comfortable professional manner with the help of Janet. I’m sure she’s the manager cause if she’s not, she should be she did such a excellent job before I obtained the glasses and after glasses thank you Janet For your kindness and your professionalism!

    I was told by my doctor that this was a relatively cheap place for eyeglasses as I need trifocals. Nicely laid out, spacious, and helpful staff. Unfortunately they don't take my insurance.
