Got a blow out on Saturday. The service was good. However who ever designed the layout has no clue. First let’s start with the wash sinks. There are four wash sinks and you’re sitting shoulder to shoulder with other people. I got splashed with hair water from someone else’s hair. This was not because of the person doing my service, but the person doing the service next to me splashed me with that person‘s hair water. I was angry. Second, the person who did my hair took me to a back room where I sat in a chair to get my hair done now the design of the room is very poor. My elderly mother-in-law and I got our hair styled before a wedding. The building was hard to find and the handicapped elevator was more of a dumb waiter but we made it.
The staff was amazing!! They really accommodated my MIL,
Including helping us with the elevator on the way out. Plus, our styles looked great. Her hair looked thicker than I have ever seen it. I got lots of compliments on my hair.
I never like leaving negative reviews but this was my second time at the drybar Roslyn location. First time, my curls fell and my hair was straight 10 minutes after leaving. This time, I showed pictures and videos of exactly what I wanted and was told "no problem." My blowout came out the complete opposite. When I explained this isn't what the picture looked like, I was told "it's because you need a haircut. It's time." Which is so extraordinarily rude and untrue, as I just got a haircut a month prior. Part of my hair seems to be fried off, and sticking straight out at this point. I went to drybar to feel confident for an event I had, and left feeling self conscious and upset. Will not be returning.
