I have gone here a few years, it was always just ok, much better than my last vet, but I’m writing this review today because we just saw the new vet Kim and a new tech I hadn’t had before and they were awesome!!! Made me and my dogs so comfortable and she was so confident in her work, everything was easy and fast. I’ve never felt better after a vet visit, I highly recommend her! THANK YOU KIM!!!! So much!

If you care for your pet don’t bring them here. Staff is friendly but attention to details lack which have lead to numerous problems for myself and others. Service and knowledge is very lack luster

I am extremely disappointed in Westside Animal Hospital. In the last year, my dog and I were there more than 30 times. She was being treated for a new diabetes diagnosis and complications stemming from that. However, even after her blood sugar became stable in May, she continued to have vomiting, lethargy, and weight loss. Visit after visit, I was told, “We don’t know what’s wrong, her blood sugar looks fine and no UTI.” No one took the time to dig deeper. They also failed to weigh her properly and consistently, which made it impossible to track her health accurately. I have proof of this negligence. After watching my dog suffer and spending a lot of money on repeat visits with no answers, I took her to a new vet. Within 2 visits, the new vet correctly diagnosed her with Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency and said she had NO b12 left in her body. This should have been found much sooner. She started feeling better almost instantly on her new treatment plan.
I reached out to Westside Animal Hospital directly with a polite letter explaining the situation. I made a point to acknowledge that the staff and vets were always gentle with my dog, but I also asked for partial compensation due to their repeated oversights. I explained my letter was not meant to be litigious, as I thought they respected me enough to take accountability for dropping the ball. I explained that this compensation would go directly towards my pup's continued care, albeit elsewhere. Instead of addressing my concerns, they ignored my request entirely and responded by terminating our vet-client-patient relationship (which I already had terminated more than a month ago when I requested my dog's records be sent to her new clinic.) My Ruby suffered needlessly for months, my pockets were drained, and their response showed zero accountability. VERY disappointed.

Last week we had our first vet visit with Dr. Murphy. It was routine with a nail clipping. Our dog Keaton is very anxious when he goes to the vet and won’t let anyone touch him. Dr. Murphy and Liz were extremely patient with him. I felt that they treated him very kindly. This morning we actually had a small emergency. He was taken in within an hour. Again, he was treated with the upmost patience, and loving care. I’m so glad you are our new vet for our dog. Thank you so much you are all wonderful.

I am new to being a dog mom, but I chose this place over the fact that when I called to become a client, the staff were extra friendly. they always make sure to get me in when I need. I would recommend this place 1000x to everyone. Beans likes the treats at the front desk too. <3
