Rochester Calkins VA Clinic

I know there are a lot of mixed feelings regarding the VA, but I've been getting my care here (first at the Westfall Rd one and now at Calkins) for 15+ years and have had a very positive experience overall. The new facility on Calkins is very clean and modern. Just wanted to share my experience.

Beautiful facility with great care. I've received primary care, mental health, audiology and pharmacy services.The poor reviews seem to reflect a lack of understanding of VA service requirements and availability of community care (urgent care) and other services.

Allot nicer now with the new building on Calkins Road. The Westfall Road facility outdated, too small & basically inadequate to serve the local Rochester area veterans. So they figured it was time to build a new facility and it is really nice! VA is good for many medical services, seem to do really good mailing our my prescriptions from the pharmacy. Use the online app if having any questions and they seem to care. Have a private insurance though my job for peace of mind, just in case of emergency's and cant get to a VA hospital.
