I was injured in a car accident 2 years ago, and my right shoulder never fully recovered. Washing and brushing my hair became exhausting, and the scars in my scalp from the same accident made me too embarrassed to visit a salon or cut my hair short.
This year, I reached a point where my hair was too much to manage, and I decided to cut it off and get a wig, which would be easier to care for since it wouldn't need me to lift my arm over my head and keep it there. My parents and I are huge fans of this salon. My beloved mom is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments and is devastated she's losing her hair. The staff were incredibly welcoming, they helped her choose a beautiful wig and a few bonnets/hats, it's obvious she feels safe and welcome. She recently had her head shaved for convenience, a very painful step for her, and the entire staff were so so kind and considerate, allowing us to grieve with her during her late afternoon appointment. A wonderful salon, they care about your aesthetics as well as you as a whole, I highly recommend.
I purchased a wig a year ago when I was diagnosed with cancer. I wanted to be prepared for hair loss. When I lost all my hair, I started wearing the wig. Everyone complimented me on how nice my "hair" was. It made me happy that it was not apparent I had a wig.
My own hair has been growing in for a month and it was so frizzy and embarrassing that I often wore the wig when outside of my home.
