Sam is one of the best shoe repair specialist that can never be replaced ! I had 6 pairs of shoes needing heels and soles . Prada , Proenza Schouler , Club Monaco . All Italian shoes especially my Prada's are very dear to me because it's from my late boyfriend Joe. I had those Prada shoes for over 15 years and Sam did a fantastic job bringing it back to life ! I had the soles and heels all worn out and my mistake I didn't take the before pics , it's was really bad . And the photos below is a proof how Sam takes care of his craft ! Amazing guy ! He also does dry cleaning and watch repairs and alterations ... Very reasonable price , and the service goes a long way , his sincerity to me as a customer will make me go back to him and bring more people in for his business ! Thank you Sam I appreciate you!!!!
I have brought 4+ projects to them and every single one has turned out exactly as I had requested. They're super speedy with their shoe alterations - sometimes even offering same day pickup depending on what time you dropped off your piece.Also, their services are very reasonably priced - and that's coming from someone who has gone to several shoe repairs in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens!
Sam's Shoe Repair is a local, small shop but has many things crammed inside. Descend a couple of steps to get down. There is a shoe repair area, sewing machine for tailoring clothes and even hats for sale. There are also some jars of honey and packages of what looks like dry herb to add to tea for a spicy zing for sale. His sister and cousin do the tailoring but Sam can add zippers to boots, replace worn zippers and repair torn leather bags. He can polish shoes, they do dry cleaning as well, and even put holes in leather belts. Sam also sharpens knives. If all of that is not enough, Sam also repairs watches! I brought a pair of shoes to fix and Sam also recommended I get a rubber bottom so the shoes don't slip. You can bargain with Sam, he doesn't mind! He has been in business since 1997 and has repaired shoes for 35 years!!! Stores that can repair shoes are rare so this one is a great find!
