Usually I find the process of buying glasses very overwhelming (limitless options + commitment issues = stress city), but working with Omega Optical made my latest experience smooth and easy. Gregory and Olga were exceptionally patient as I poured over their inventory looking for the perfect frames. They offered some great suggestions, so much so that I ended up ordering two pairs! And I can't say enough good things about the optometrist. She was very knowledgable, friendly, attentive, and provided what I thought was the most comprehensive eye exam of my life. As an added bonus, Omega accepted my insurance. Definitely check this place out if you're looking for professional service and quality, traditionally-styled frames that will look good year after year.

Omega Optical is truly one of the most professional and courteous optical stores that I have been associated with. This family business does a great job at making sure each customer is always satisfied. I have purchased over five pairs of glasses from this store and they have always offered me a reasonable price and had my glasses ready within less than 3 business days. I have sent a lot of my friends and family to this business and they have always been satisfied with their service and eye glasses. They have an extremely large selection of name brand frames for men, woman and children. I'm glad that we have fine businesses like this in Queens and New York metro area that goes out of its way to ensure that all their clients and patients are always satisfied.

I believe this is a family run organization, or at least it's run by a small close knit group. It's not as formal as a Corporate shop like a LensCrafters kind of place. They get 4 stars for customer service. I walked in to get glasses and an exam for my daughter. It was busy, but the manager addressed me quickly and scheduled an appointment. On the appointment date, we had to wait maybe 20 minutes, but it was 5 or 5:30 on a weekday, a peak time. The doctor was super friendly and helpful for my daughter. He gets 5 stars. I actually l love this guy and wish I needed glasses so I could see him more. Super nice. Glasses get 5 stars. They had a large selection and quality stuff. I ordered top of the line frames and lenses, and wasn't looking for a bargain. The glasses were expensive, but I expected that. I did not comparison shop, so I can't say whether their prices are competitive, but they were not outrageous. I was super happy with the glasses - attractive, durable, and my daughter wanted to wear them. My only complaint, and the reason I give them 4 stars is because it took a long time for the glasses to be ready, like over a week. When they didn't call for a long time, I stopped in to see if everything was OK. They called a few days later. I was not expecting glasses to take a long time, my daughter doesn't have severe vision problems and so many places these days can produce glasses in an hour.
