We hired NY Flooring Guys to fix some scratched wood floors and put a stronger coat of varnish down on all the floors in our house. Leo and his team were fantastic, job was done well and on time. Leo gave us great advice, and as first time home owners we appreciate someone who takes their time to explain things and help us weigh different decisions. We had some water damage on the floors as well that he advised us on, and overall went above and beyond to get our floors in strong shape and to last.

I recently purchased an apartment in Manhattan that I have been renovating for the past month. When it came to refinishing my floors, I wanted desperately to change the color, but my contractor said he does not want to take the risk of sanding and restating them bc they are engineered hardwood with a very thin veneer and he thought there is no way they could strip off the top coat without eating into the ply beneath which would completely destroy the floors. I did a little research and found that most flooring people will not touch a floor with at least 3mm of veneer and my floors had exactly 2mm.
