I've purchased a few necks from Kim. I explained to him what I wanted to accomplish and he offered recommendations. While not cheap, his necks are hand-made and even better than described on Kim's webpage. In the chain of variables effecting tone, the neck is pretty key. I can't say, in words, how much I appreciate and respect Kim. He truly is a master craftsman and expert on saxophone tone.

My experience with Kim at KB Sax and the new saxophone neck was enjoyable right from my initial inquiry to playing it on my saxophone - on every level. Just a genuinely nice person, willing to freely share his knowledge, exceptional customer service and what a great product!
I received a hand hammered KB by Kim Bock alto neck in October 2022 and after playing it for 3 months, I can confirm that it has been a great experience. I realize that most of our sound comes from us, but it’s refreshingly welcome to get that subtle yet noticeable boost from the right neck or the right mouthpiece - and Kim’s neck did just that.
