When you buy a house you deal with a lot of people. Of everyone, Darrell is the person I trust the most. You’re smart to be reading reviews because honest people are becoming harder to find. Darrell is the inspector you should hire.
Short answer: if I had a family member who needed a home inspection, Darrell is who I would send them to.
Long answer: my wife and I are first-time homebuyers, and our real estate agent, who we trust, recommended Darrell for the home inspection. Now that the inspection is over I can see why.
His report was incredibly thorough, and he patiently answered all of our follow up questions over the phone afterward. He was clear, honest, detailed, and also had a good sense of humor!

Darrell was very professional, attentive to details and responsive to follow up questions. He was also a trooper conducting an inspection after 20+ inches of snow and digging up the septic access ports to send a scope down. He had all the right tools for the job and explained findings and answered our questions near the end of the inspection. His report was extremely thorough and will serve as an owners manual for us in managing and maintaining the house.
