Lady at the desk was incredibly rude to me saying she didn't think she would have time for me (I was the only one there). Gentleman comes in after me, says "oops gonna have to bump you" has me take a seat, she's laughing with him, very cordial, has him sign in (didn't even tell me to sign in) then takes him immediately. Very cold, and outdated place. No windows. No friendliness. Optum is a much better place to get bloodwork done.

AMBULATORY/Out patient SURGERY REVIEW. PRE-op check in experience: Excellent experience. Monica at reception is a ray of sunshine and made everything A-OK. REALLY upscale surgical gowns with ports for climate control. Not kidding. Personal climate control. The staff was super pleasant and the waiting areas very clean. Surgery went well and she's on the mend.

I was transferred to Vassar from NDH this weekend. I was in the ER for about an hour and had to be admitted. Was worried about my husband driving home asked if he could stay as well. They had a family suite and he was able to stay my whole stay. Each and every person I encountered went above and beyond. I couldn't have been more happy. This coming from a person who hates going to doctors and especially hospitals. But if I ever need emergency surgery or any other reason to go, believe me I will travel the two hours to Vassar. Thank you all for a wonder experience.

This Hospital is absolutely 5 stars. I was having difficulty breathing and sharp shooting pains in my back. I went to the ER. I told them my symptoms. Doctor Jay and his team of nurses made sure to go above and beyond to discover what was wrong with me. He was very methodical having me do an ekg, a x ray, catscan, blood test, and pee test. They made me feel as ease while i was in a very painful state. The staff was very nice and professional, the grounds was clean and well taken care, and the staff is very attentive and invested in helping you. Now im on medication, and im very thankful I came here.

Doctor advised post COVID issue, my lungs were working minimally and I haven't been seen for 5 hours! Huge disappointment. Thank god I'm not dying, but I'm here to see if I have fluid around my heart. Please please please hire more staff! The wait time in the ER is horrible. There's a women throwing up on a iv in the waiting area, a man with a broken foot, pregnant women waiting for over 4 hours now!

Absolute worst experience ever when I brought my mom there ! Good thing I payed attention or she would have been over medicated by the nurse and dr . And she was left in a wet bed over night and got a rash from laying in pee when they told her to pee cause she had a catheter in that they never turn the suction on! The list goes on about how un professional this place is . One nurse was on her phone texting the entire time. While doing a test on my mom and yes texting personal texts not medical cause I took pics and zoomed in and could see !! I highly reccomend to not go here !! I don't even want to give one star but it makes u in order to post

Please DO NOT leave any family members alone here. The alarms take more than 25 minutes to get answered. i was left stranded alone twice . no help to get a shower. no help to get to the bathroom etc . no aides to be found.IT IS NOT SAFE !!! . The nurses and Drs . are wonderful. but you will be left alone with no assistance for there it's is just enough staff.

My father was seen in the ER for shortness of breath and high heart rate. The nurse who first saw him rolled her eyes when my 85 year old dad shared with me that he had a very nice nurse taking care of him. She answered my questions about the tests they were doing with such a condescending and disrespectful attitude. When she came back with another nurse she was all sweetness but seemed to have no patience for my dad. Tests were done after a 2 hour wait. We are still waiting to hear results... it's been at least another 2 hours. They keep taking people in one after the other and putting us all back in the waiting room to wait forever for our results. The family next to us has been waiting for their results for 3.5 hours! The place is run so ridiculously poor its not even laughable. Good luck if you ever have to come here.

Went in for an operation under anesthesia. Everyone involved with the procedure; from the reception desk, to the nurses' station, my surgical nurse; Steve. The surgeon who goes by Dr. Mike M. I wish I could recall all the others, to individually thank them. John in scheduling is amazing, he manages to coordinate all the different appointments, doctors, and everything else needed to make the patient's life a little easier in a stressful time. The Food Service Dept. is amazing. This is my first stay in a hospital. They actually had a menu that I could choose breakfast, lunch, and dinner from and when it was delivered; the hot food was hot and it was actually very tasty and visually appealing.I've visited people in the hospital, and seen what was on the menu. Canned dog food looked better. The nursing staff, technicians, and everyone else associated with the hospital made my stay a pleasure. I'm certain there's going to be people out there who will disagree, but that's their privilege.
