About Dandelion Energy
Dandelion Energy offers geothermal energy solutions that can greatly lower energy bills. Their systems have been proven to reduce propane bills by as much as 90% while providing clean air quality. The installation process can be complex, but with patience, the end result is rewarding. The company's drilling and installation teams are knowledgeable and professional. Despite some minor issues with communication and staff changes, Dandelion Energy is capable of delivering high-quality results. The initial consultation includes a thorough analysis of the property to check if the project is feasible, which many customers found informative and helpful. Once the project begins, a team of engineers verifies the requirements and proposes a suitable system. While some customers noted a need for better communication between teams, most were pleased with the professionalism shown throughout the drilling and installation phases. The installation process involves multiple teams working together to ensure everything is set up correctly. Though there may be minor issues post-installation, the company is responsive to any concerns raised. Overall, Dandelion Energy is considered a strong choice for those looking to invest in geothermal energy, as many customers would undertake the project again despite some challenges faced along the way.
I've had a positive experience with Dandelion Energy. It took about 6 months from contract signing to completion of the installation, which was similar to what two other geothermal companies quoted. A lot of that time was taken up with getting the permits, an energy audit, energy improvements I needed to make to take advantage of utility incentives, and getting a heat loan. Once drilling started, the installation went quickly. Dandelion took care of the rebate paperwork and the permitting, and guided me through all the other steps needed for my utility. A special shout out to Brian G. for always responding quickly and staying on top of things throughout the process.

The process was very time consuming and disjointed. The sales pitch was great. I wanted to get off oil, and the state had great incentives for it. I don't feel like I got what I paid for.
What they don't tell you is the auxiliary heat is electric, so if it gets below 40 degrees you're basically on electric heat. My electric bill this past winter was more than my electric/oil bill combined ever was.
The survey guy who drew up the system plans was great. The drillers were terrible. I went out to greet them and they acted like I wasn't even there. They drilled into the house in the wrong spot according to the plans and didn't go through the flowerbed like the...read full review
I would have to give Dandelion Energy a 4.75 star rating. While I did have some small hiccups with respect to communication, I understood that there was a change in the staff member who was my direct contact. That happens, but that is what accounts for the .25 star deduction. The other 4.75 stars are attributed to the the things they did right. Their presentation was thorough and informative, the staff that came to the house were professional and informative, the product itself is amazing. Today I just got my final inspection. The inspector said, " If I'm not mistaken, Dandelion is one of the only companies who does geothermal exclusively. I've never had a problem with any of these inspections. Thats all they do and they do it right." I was so impressed to hear that so I had to share it with anyone looking to make the great decision to go Geo.
