“I recently realized, at 8½ months pregnant, that I could no longer maintain my own hair. I couldn’t reach, I couldn’t bend, and it had become such a hassle. Out of the blue, I decided it was finally time to have someone do it for me. I had never been waxed before in my life. As a woman who will be going into labor soon, I wanted my hygiene to be top-tier, and it had honestly been a huge worry of mine. The moment I stepped into the salon, I realized I was more afraid of waxing than I was of childbirth! When I tell you that Alix (the salon owner) made me feel comfortable almost immediately, I truly mean it. She didn’t hesitate to get started. She didn’t spend forever talking me through it—she simply got right to the point. I had zero time to panic, overthink, or work myself up. Not only did she get started quickly, but she also kept a conversation going for the entire two hours I was there! Talking about both my life and hers made the appointment fly by. Honestly, I barely noticed the slight discomfort of the Brazilian wax. And when I say the pain wasn’t that bad, I mean it. It hurts for a second, and then you’re fine. I’m not raw, itchy, or uncomfortable. Nothing burns! Nothing stings!The results are fantastic. What surprised me most was how comfortable I felt. There was absolutely no awkwardness from the start. I didn’t even feel exposed. It’s just like going to the gynecologist—you have to remind yourself that these professionals have seen everything! Alix made the entire experience feel completely normal, and I never had time to let my worries take over, almost like I’ve been done millions of times before. She was amazing. I felt comfortable the entire time, both mentally and physically. For my fellow pregnant girls who haven’t been able to see—or reach—a razor in weeks, I highly recommend waxing, especially with Alix. I cannot recommend her enough or say enough good things about her and her beautiful self-owned Shop!“
