Yani is the best of the best when it comes to color and also cut/blowouts. Her staff is super talented and lovely, with no pretentious attitudes. The quality of work is incredible! The best of the upper east side!
Was in Taipei for a short trip to Asia from the states and I wanted to experience getting a blowout in taiwan so I stumbled upon here after reading some reviews on google. I was in the area in Nangang to check out the rock climbing gym there so I thought it would be perfect to get my hair cleaned and trimmed after working out and sweating in the humidity in the afternoon. It's a pretty Taiwanese hair cut place but it still has a nice facade and it seems like a lot of locals would go there, which is what I wanted. I speak Chinese so I didn't want to go to a super touristy english speaking place for expats. Fortunately, they do have a hairdresser who speaks English if you don't know any Chinese and want to get a haircut there. I ended up getting a short trim w/ layers (asian style) and as well as a shampoo/blowout style for 800 NT. Hairdresser was helpful and gave me some tips on how to treat my hair without selling. The ladies at the salon were also very social and conversation friendly as well (more so if you speak Chinese)
I have been going to Yani and team for almost 8 years now and I absolutely LOVE them. Yani's Hair Salon its a family business and all the employees are wonderful and profesional. I have done color, cuts, blowouts , keratin ... you name it, they do it all!! I have been super happy with all their services and it's always fun going there. Their prices are competitive and they have the BEST best blowouts in the upper east side!!
