Y.M Hair Salon offers Japanese hair straightening, haircuts, perms, coloring, and treatments that boost moisture and shine. The salon provides drinks and snacks plus relaxing head and shoulder massages during the hair wash. Clients have been coming for over 6 years, with one visiting for 15 years. A client flies to New York once or twice a year for Japanese straightening, having tried places on the west coast that did not know how to do it and messed up the hair. Another client has been going for 5 years and trusts the stylist fully with straightening and cutting, noting the hair has become noticeably healthier. A client of over 6 years trusts the stylist for haircuts and dye, including balayage and gloss, and appreciates how the stylist remembers conversations and actively listens. At first I was a bit skeptical about getting a hair cut since it was a bit steep for my usual hair cut but Yusuke cleared my doubt. As a person who is really uncertain about what you want to do, he was very patient with me and helped me determine what kind of hair cut I wanted. Not only was the hair cut amazing but made me realize how much of a difference styling your hair can do. Planning to come back again for sure.

I lived in NY some years back & discovered Yusuke. He was working at another salon & I followed him.
I fly to NY once or twice a year (family in the area) and come to get Japanese Straightening done with him. I have tried more than a few places on the west coast, and they just don’t know how to do it & can really mess up your hair in the process. I tried LA, San Francisco, San Diego - none worked.
So I come see Yusuke! He is the best and BTW I am picky, I won’t go just anywhere. Thank you, Yusuke! Now open up a place on the west coast please!! :)
I’ve been going to Kurumi for 5 years. She’s the only stylist I fully trust with straightening and cutting my hair. Thanks to her care and expertise, my hair has become noticeably healthier over time. She’s also very sweet, and every time is an enjoyable and pleasant experience.
