Today, I had one of the most relaxing, euphoric, rejuvenating experiences at Tomoko Shima Hair Salon on W 14th. Shino was my wonderful service provider and she was absolutely out of this world at what she does. I myself am a stylist, and while visiting NYC decided it would be nice to treat myself, get to be the client for once, and get a 50 minute scalp head spa treatment and blowout. Got a step bone cut by Tomoko (the owner). She's in the 14th St location on Saturdays. She's in the upper East side location on Tuesdays and Thursdays. $203 (including tax, not including tip)
Yukari is my stylist. I had walked by her salon many times on the way to my apartment and always saw the beautiful styles she was creating through the glass! I spend a lot of time in the city and needed a stylist and after trying several other who came highly recommended I was still looking and decided to give Yukari a try. All I can say is WOW! She spent a long time consulting with me on both my color which needed restoration and the cut. So many stylist in New York are good at one or the other but she is fantastic at both.
