My hair - it has all the feels. Thick, rough, not straight, not curly, dry and oily all at the same time - and on top of it, I am starting to go gray. Nery just gets it, and she gets me. The haircut is amazing but the color is over the top. And should hopefully she with me, as my hair has decided to age. This salon was the find of the century. They are a great team of good people.

I'm a person who doesn't leave the house without hair gel, phone, keys. My mop is my pride and joy! Nery at Salon Pigmentos (right now behind Michaels Unisex) is the GOAT. She's a true expert and artist with decades under her belt and 2 generations of salloning in Alphabet City! It's no surprise that she has such a dedicated following around here.I completely trust her with my thick, punky hair. I get complements on the street more than ever. The work speaks for itself and is HIGH VALUE.

This is the only place I trust for haircut, hair dye, conditioning - everything! I’ve been a client for many years, and with curly/dry hair, Nery always gives a cut that gives my hair shape, and keeps my hair healthy and conditioned. She has a great eye for color and color transitions. And if the tone or something doesn’t feel quite right, she’ll work with you to adjust until it does, showing how much she cares about her clients looking and feeling good.
