From the moment I reached out Mr. Ivan was so supportive. We originally had a contract with the 72nd street location which closed. I was nervous and concerned due to all of the negative reviews. Ivan changed that, he was so supportive and empathetic. He worked very hard at making sure everything was transferred and that our requests were honored. I want to thank Ortiz Funeral Home, especially Ivan, for the care and support he provided during my mom’s wake. From the very beginning, Ivan went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled with compassion, respect, and professionalism.

One thing that meant so much to me was that I asked if my mom could be left as natural and plain as possible so I could have the honor of doing her makeup and getting her ready myself. Ivan kept his word. He promised he would call me as soon as my mom arrived at the funeral home, and he did exactly that. He called me earlier than expected and gave me the time and space to do something very special for my mother.
