I’ve moved away from the upper east side and I still make the trip over to Miss Nails. The prices aren’t competitive but they do such a stellar job every time with such great service that it feels worth it to pay. They do do a bit of upselling when it comes to their services (gel top coat vs regular top coat, massage while your nails dry, spa pedicures, etc.) so make sure to politely decline if you don’t want to run up your bill. The women at Miss Nails are always kind, competent, and fast. I have worked with many of them for gel and regular manicure and pedicure and they all do a great job. They also do a wonderful foot massage. The salon is comfortable and clean. Whenever I have gone to other salons for convenience, I regret it and come back to Miss Nails!

I always have the best experience at Miss Nails. I was in on a very crowded day, and a women came in and her son broke her long nail and she demanded they fix it. They squeezed her in, and because it was her error they needed to charge her to fix it. She started to cause a scene and refused to pay. In order to keep the other customers happy and not disturb them, the nail tech paid for the womens nail fix out of her own pocket and let her leave. The women's reason for not wanting to pay was because she tipped 20% last time. Just found so rude and thought the women working really handled it well.
