terrible management. makes up rules that don't exist and makes every day life like moving things in and out of the building a nightmare. the location is great but the building is definitely old and they do not care. worst management team ever.
update 2024: Overall the building was good, decent location except the neighborhood feels less safe in the last few years. Some great staff such as Speedy and Peter. The building raised our rent in 2022 by $1,195, and in 2023 by $500. In 2024 for a lease renewal, they offered us a higher rate than you could get an equivalent 2 bedroom a few floors below us on street easy or for new renters despite us pain rent on time 8 years with no issues/complaints. It was very insulting to offer us higher rent than what they thought was fair market price for a new tenant. After we told them we would not renew our lease they offered to negotiate, but too late, we upgraded to a better building with some actual amenities (this buildings roof is closed half the year, and the gym is really a joke).
Awful service. If you have a UPS pickup, the front desk won't hold the package for UPS pickup, so UPS pickups are impossible, if you have a big package to return you have to go to the store carrying the package. They won't let food deliveries go up. They won't call the apt when UPS comes. It's not a full-service building and the front desk is pretty useless when it comes to packages, package pickup, etc. The front desk is useless to most things a front desk usually does in NYC, including lockouts, etc. Might as well get a building without a doorman.
