I’ve been coming here for years to get dip powder manicures from May. She is incredible, meticulous, and super sweet. May always wants to try out all of my ideas and will tell me if something wouldn’t look good.
Honestly, May, Sophia, and the whole team are really great. I often come with half-baked ideas, but her and honestly the whole team always want to help and make my nails look the best. I wouldn’t see anyone else for my nails. I’ve moved to Brooklyn and still make the commute. Definitely recommend May and Sophia if you want cute designs, extremely sweet and helpful guidance, and nails that last!

From afar, looks decent. Color turned out fine. Up close, you can see the lack of care and detail. Did this yesterday, and nail already broke. Noticed a slight tear yesterday while the nail tech was filing and pointed out to her. However, she kept saying: “It is because you’re sitting in that angle. From my angle, you cannot tell.” Refused to fix it. Pushed back x2 but she insisted that I saw something that wasn’t there. The edges still have polish on them. The cuticles were not cut cleanly.

Price was reasonable. $42 + tip for gel removal and gel manicure.

I have been going to Issa nails for 5+ years and continued to go even when I moved to different neighborhoods. I consistently get powder dip manicures with Sophia (have also worked with Monica and May) and they all do powder nails properly so they aren’t overly thick and they last the longest. The salon is clean and they have nice massage chairs for pedicures as well as chairs to get back/shoulder massages.

Issa Nails is a friendly neighborhood spot with a lot of regulars, which is a testament to the level of service they provide. They always accommodate walk in’s but I recommend calling in advance, if you can!
