When it comes to tailors, Mr. Kim is one of the best kept secrets in New York City. I've brought him several designer items--things that cost over $1000--and he does exquisite work. He essentially remade my wedding suit by restructuring two layers of silk and lace. I was surprised when he mentioned it took him seven hours, only because that's not what he'd charged.
I live in Brooklyn but have been dragging my clothes into his Manhattan shop for over five years.
Happy cleaners is the best! We do all of our alterations and dry cleaning with Mr. Kim who is always so kind and honest. Amazing service, super quick turnaround (especially when I have events back to back), they deliver the clothes once ready, and have great prices! Highly recommend to everyone in the area.
In the madness that can be Manhattan this enclave is just what you're looking for. It's good service and friendly staff at a reasonable price. Would recommend them highly.
