I absolutely love this barbershop. I don’t only come here for the incredibly experienced staff but also for a great sense of community. Here you will find people to help you define, explore, and take a hold of your best looks. Never thought I would have the one barber to always go to until I started coming here.
This barbershop is a whole experience — fun, bold, sassy, and unapologetically queer. The energy is always high, the music is great, and the conversations are even better.
It’s the kind of place where you walk in for a haircut and leave feeling like you’ve just hung out with friends. Always welcoming, always on point.
Honestly, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
How do you review an experience? Sure, you can review the logistical parts of it: The haircut was expertly done, the shop was immaculately clean, it is a safe space, and the staff were friendly and polite. But, that doesn’t quite (pardon the pun) cut it, for Good Head.
Backstory: My husband and I were unexpectedly in NYC this past December and January, for his cancer treatment. About a month into the stay, near my birthday, he encouraged me to take a day for myself to recharge my own batteries. In the chaos of needing to organize the trip, I’d neglected some of my own grooming care, and so decided to book some time at Good Head.
