The front desk staff and store employees are always friendly and helpful, and the women's steam room is top-notch. Although the showers and lockers are on the smaller side, the members do a commendable job of keeping the towels organized. The cleaning and maintenance staff, particularly Olga, work tirelessly to ensure the club's cleanliness, and deserve the utmost respect from all members.
The gym is always clean and machines are well maintained. Unfortunately I had an issue when entering the gym. A white associate at the front desk stopped me from entering as I passed her because she assumed I didn't belong there. I am a black woman a have been a member since 1999. Although she may not know me, I checked in on my Equinox app that registered on her computer screen. So because I didn't belong in her mind she never looked at the screen she chose to stop me and embarrass me in front of the all white staff and other white guest around the desk. So if you're a person of color be forewarned that this could happen to you.
I had a wonderful experience at Equinox 92nd Street thanks to Jency at the front desk. He was extremely professional, efficient, and genuinely polite. He handled my questions quickly and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. His positive attitude and attention to detail really stood out. Excellent service — truly a great representative of Equinox!
Oddly cramped even when it’s not crowded, terribly designed lockers, stretch mats literally held together with duct tape covering a bunch of random holes, and all the equipment is pretty aged well past its prime.
Bathrooms and locker rooms are kept relatively clean but that’s the bare minimum a gym should offer. Showers have hardly any water pressure too which really sucks.
The juice bar at the front is affordable which is the only real redeeming quality to this place.
