About Equinox Orchard Street
Equinox Orchard Street is a well-equipped fitness club that offers a unique member experience. Despite being a busy gym, it maintains a relatively clean environment. However, some visitors have reported unfriendly front desk staff. On the other hand, the gym's trainers, including one notable trainer, are highly skilled and knowledgeable. They provide personalized attention and help members improve their form and flexibility. The gym's amenities are also a highlight, and some members have appreciated the opportunity to work with a personal stretch assistant who offers detailed and effective stretching techniques, helping to prevent muscle strain and aid in recovery.
This gym is extremely clean. Coaching staff are very helpful/friendly/knowledgeable. The steam room and showers are considerably larger compared to other locations. If you go during off-peak hours it’s less crowded than other locations. Overall there are fewer amenities here, but it’s a good gym. Unfortunately there is no pool, plunge, or outdoor access here. Also they don’t allow you to use any of the stairs or personal mats for your individual workouts even if the gym is completely empty, which seems a bit silly given how expensive it is.
At Equinox Orchard you’ll find two floors of weight equipment above a CVS, a grand bridged entrance, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a younger LES crowd. Unfortunately, there’s only an Earthbar Express here (no protein smoothies, just snacks).
I’ve worked with other personal trainers at different gyms, but Jason truly stands out. He immediately made me feel comfortable and confident, which isn’t always easy when starting or restarting a fitness journey. His knowledge and attention to detail are impressive, and he explains everything in a way that makes sense. Training with Jason has genuinely made me excited about my workout journey again.
