About David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
Based on the reviews, the David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is described as the best cancer center in the United States. The facility is a new looking building with a coffee shop in the lobby and a beautiful large waiting room on the 18th floor with a free coffee machine. The cafe on the 6th floor is spacious, well laid out, and has an outside terrace with bench seating and fantastic views. The doctors are very kind, respectful, and knowledgeable. They listen to patients and take concerns seriously. One doctor was kind and patient with a sense of humor, staying past 6:30pm for an appointment and not making the patient feel rushed. Another doctor provided constant care and an empathetic approach, with a calm nature that is amazingly comforting. The medical support is very knowledgeable about cancer recovery. Everyone employed there is kind, from the coffee attendant and shuttle driver to the receptionists and janitors. The staff are wonderful, caring, and thoughtful, treating patients with dignity and respect. The hospital puts more effort into care than any other place. They offer telemedicine appointments and can find free lodging and transportation for patients who live far away. The reviewers would recommend this facility to anyone affected by cancer.
Beautiful clean building, they offer valet parking, great scenic view from 18th floor
Dr. Hamlin took incredible care of my grandmother in her late years. I respected the dignity and professionalism with which he was able to balance the customized medical care she needed for her cancer treatment, with the patients' own preferences and risk tolerance. The center as a whole has been welcoming, peaceful, and calming for the patients and their families who might be dealing with the fallout of their diagnosis and treatment. I knew my grandma was in good hands whenever she came here, and I'll always be careful for the incredible gift of a few more years together that we were given.
Personally I didn't know how MSK doesn't have a higher rating but after perusing the reviews I can see why. People leaving 1 star reviews for minor things some completely out of their control.
We've been going to oncologist Dr. Gregory Riely for almost 2 years now. My husband has stage 4 SMARCA-UT which is a newly found rare genetic form of lung cancer. My husband's tumor is half the size it was thanks to Dr. Riely and his team. He has been a godsend to us. His nurse Aimee always by his side has been the same.
My husband sees other doctors their as well and we have had and are grateful to have such wonderful care. Everyone that works there are kind ...I know, maybe...read full review
