I’ve been on a tight budget lately since I’m not working, so even something small like a manicure and pedicure has become a real treat. I was looking for something affordable nearby and was so happy to find Danfe Nails right in my neighborhood, where I’ve lived for 25 years.
They were kind enough to let me come in early, which I really appreciated. Pama took care of me and did both my nails and toes, and she was so lovely throughout. Lola, the owner, is incredible. This is not a nail place but a community! The ladies who work here have been there for years and they are so lovely and the extra care they put into not only the nails but your life (they remember little bits of info.) is unique! Best nail salon in NYC!
I have had a different experience compared to most of these reviews. I would probably have rated it lower but I feel bad because it was probably a one off. However, my nail tech shaped my nails unevenly— one especially is very lumpy and one side looks like a sharp line while the other side is round.
Also, the nails were not filed smoothly and I have edges of my nails that are digging into my skin that I’ve had to trim myself.
Furthermore, I got two coats of top coat on one hand which made my final result lumpy. I didn’t say anything when she was applying the second coat because I thought it was their salon policy to apply two coats so I was confused...read full review
