Aminata African Hair Braiding offers beautiful braids at reasonable prices. The salon is located in a suite within a building and is clean. Walk-ins are welcome. While the space is small, the braiders are skilled and work efficiently. Customers report that the braiding process takes about 4-4.5 hours for knotless braids, depending on length. Been here a number of times with my wife and daughter and they have taken care of us and the hair is done very well. Just remember to be patient as it’s first come, first served.

I have been coming to this salon for years at this point! I feel like I’m always in good hands no matter who braids my hair, but lately Maty has been the main person who works her magic with my braids. She gets me right every time! (and SO FAST!!)

Regular knotless braids, knotless boho, straight backs, fulani, curly ends, whatever you’re looking for, just ask and they got you! They also supply the braiding hair (but you can bring your own if you prefer—if you’re getting boho, bring your own human hair). I won’t go anywhere else :)

I recently came in for long braids and they came out so beautifully! The price was reasonable and it took 4 hours in total with a team working on my hair. I’ve been coming here for the past decade and every time, they’ve gone above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and listened to. Highly recommend!!
