I’ve been getting my hair cut from Alex’s Barber shop for a while now, and every time I walk out of the shop, I feel fresh and confident. They pay great attention to detail, really listen to what you want, and always make sure the cut fits your style. The shop has a relaxed, welcoming vibe, and you can tell they take pride in their work. If you’re looking for a skilled, consistent barber who actually cares about how you look in the UWS, Alex’s Barber is the one to go to!

Walk-in haircut was great by Gabriel today. I gave him some reference photos and he made sure to cut my hair the way I had it described. I’m Korean and am usually hesitant to get my hair cut by people that aren’t Korean, but Gabriel did great! Super skilled and accommodating + haircut is affordable.

This is also a family-run business and a super wholesome one at that. Loved the conversation with Gabriel too and honestly wishing him the best :).

I love Alex Barber Shop. It's got an old school vibe and Gabriel is a master with his scissors and clippers. I wandered in to the shop about ten years ago when I moved back to New York. I'm glad I did. It's reasonable, afforable, quick and you can just walk-in or make an appointment by phone. I feel like I'm among family when I go there.
