They consistently go above and beyond to make sure every student not only understands the techniques being taught, but is also applying them correctly during class. While students are rolling, the professors are constantly coaching, reminding them of strategies, and helping them sharpen their skills in real time. What truly sets this place apart is how nurturing and genuinely caring the instructors are with the kids. They continuously push them to grow, improve, and build confidence each day in such a positive and encouraging environment. Our boys have been treated like family since the moment they started, and that means everything to us. My husband and I were so inspired that we even decided to start taking classes ourselves, and I’ve already learned so much after just one class. The atmosphere is welcoming, motivating, and filled with passion for the art of jiu-jitsu. I cannot recommend Renzo Gracie Rockland highly enough for anyone looking for top-tier instruction, a supportive community, and an amazing experience for both kids and adults.
I went from: not in a million years would I try Jiu Jitsu to rolling multiple times a week. This place is truly special: the coaches are incredibly supportive, empathetic, patient, humble and are skilled beyond belief. The way they approach both kids’ and adults’ training is something to observe. Come here for training, stay for the camaraderie, some of the coolest moves and people you’ll ever know.
