I absolutely love coming to this school. I came here 6 years ago with the goal of wanting to learn self-defense with absolutely no prior athletic experience. I was welcomed with open arms by the staff and students, who were so kind and patient while working with me. I’m so happy I stayed and continue to practice my skills. The community here feels like family and I have made long lasting friendships here. If you are an adult who needs to find a healthy “third space” Renzo Gracie Rockland is the place to be!

I walked into this place 3 years ago and have felt like family ever since. The community here is an amazing mix of competition and support. I have never felt a lack of caring or eagerness to help from any coach/professor. My only regret is not joining RGR sooner.

I have been a student at Renzo Gracie Rockland for about a year and a half. This is not a sport I ever imagined I would take up, but I started with the women’s program and gradually progressed to mixed classes, and then tournaments as I gained confidence. I appreciate the professors enormously. The students are welcoming and encouraging. This is a place for learning serious skills among really kind people.
