New City School of Music is Rockland County's largest music school, offering lessons in a variety of instruments for students of all ages. With a full-time office staff available to assist with customer service needs, the school provides a supportive environment for students to learn and grow. The school's experienced instructors, such as Steve, Juan, Ms. Querube Gonzalez, and Mr. Recco, are dedicated to helping students make progress and thrive in their music education. With its convenient schedule and state-of-the-art facilities, New City School of Music has earned its reputation as a top music school in Rockland County, winning numerous awards and earning the loyalty of its students and their families.
Current teachers- Lila (violin)& Olena (piano) are superb, knowledgeable & kind!! Contract payment-month to month. Office manager, Manny is friendly & efficient. Two free recitals a year at the school, though the space is tight. Private lessons- violin, drum, vocals, guitar, piano etc. Some group lessons (camp)during summer. On site parking available limited but can park on lot of Burger King which is next to their site.
Steve is an amazing piano instructor! He is patient, makes learning music fun, and has such creative ways of teaching especially the acronyms he uses to help students remember music notes. My son absolutely loves going to classes because of the way Steve teaches music! My daughter started with Ms. Amanda and she loves her session!
I highly recommend New City School of Music. The school is easy to reach,via text or call. Manny at the front desk is always friendly and welcoming, and the environment is clean, cozy, and comfortable. I love the new space.
