“Moet is a blessing and she is talented with hairstyling, hair care, and hair treatment. I sought her out specifically for her skills as a certified Trichologist. After years of over processing my hair, I deal with alopecia and have thinning all over. I’ve seen several Dermatologists over the years with little success in hair restoration. I had really given up hope. I decided to try Moet because a family member had success with a Trichologist. I started the process with very, very, very, low expectations. Through a treatment program that I started two months ago, at the end of July, the results have been amazing. The picture on the right is from June 2025. Nothing new between June and mid-July. “I first went to Bovane in 2020, after Covid kept me from my stylist at Deva Salon in NYC. At the time, I made the brave choice to do the big chop—cutting off all the dye and starting fresh with my natural grey. He guided me through every stage, from rocking a Mohawk to now having long, curly, silver hair that I absolutely love.

“I cannot express enough how absolutely in love I am with my hair. From the moment I sat in Meg’s chair I felt completely cared for. She was incredibly gentle, unbelievably sweet, and so patient with every concern I had.

Before we even got to the appointment I actually ended up getting sick and had to go to the ER the day we were originally scheduled. I had to cancel just about an hour before, and I felt awful about it but Meg was so compassionate, so understanding, and so empathetic about the whole thing. She made me feel like my health came first and never once made me feel guilty or stressed about rescheduling. That kind of kindness really stuck with me and meant a lot before I had even sat in her chair.

When we finally got to do the appointment, Meg made the entire experience so relaxing and reassuring. My biggest fear going in as a curly girl was the health of my curls, especially with bleach involved but Meg made it her absolute #1 priority to protect them. And she DELIVERED. Not a single bit of damage. My curls are still bouncy, healthy, and thriving, which honestly feels like a miracle. It’s hard to find someone as a black person who truly does care about the health of your hair just as much if not more than you do, understands your hair, and doesn’t cost the price of a tiny island.

Every stylist I met at Chroma as well as the owner was so warm and welcoming. The whole environment felt supportive, safe, and uplifting in a way I’ve never experienced before. As a Black woman finding a salon where I feel genuinely accepted, understood, and protected is extremely rare but at Chroma I felt all of that and more. There was no judgment, no rushing, no pressure. Just kindness, respect, and a team of beautiful people that clearly love what they do.

I don’t think I could ever trust someone with my hair the way I trust Meg. She listened to me, guided me, reassured me, and treated my curls like they mattered. Especially having THICK, DARK, and COILY HAIR. A lot of Stylists are intimidated by hair that isn’t straight or wavy and will either tell you they can’t work with it and turn you away or will lie and say they can and then absolutely destroy your hair. I walked out not only loving my hair, but feeling more confident and cared for than I’ve ever felt at a salon.

Chroma has officially become my place. I can’t imagine going anywhere else in my lifetime. I will be back MANY, many, MANY times. 10/10 doesn’t even cover it I wish I could give them 20/10.

“A few months ago, I returned to Hair Dimensions, and I’m so glad I did. My stylist, Donna, gave me a haircut inspired by a style I had when I lived in NYC and had my haircuts there. My hair is thick, and the cut has held up beautifully as it has grown out, whether I’ve blow-dried my hair left it to dry naturally. I’ve also received many compliments on it as well! I was really amazed at how efficient they were and made our hair look great. I had clip in extensions I asked to be put in and my stylists knew how to work with them well.
